Faith Statement
What we believe, and teach our residents, about:
God That there is only one God, who created everything. He is perfect and Holy and loves each person with an everlasting love. He is all-powerful and all knowing, we cannot hide anything from Him, He sees who we really are and loves us anyway. One day we will see Him face to face and account for everything we have done, said, and even thought.
The Bible That the bible was written through men, by God. It is a book of His ideas and commands. That everything we need to know about how to be healthy, whole, and happy is contained in the pages of this book. We know that there is more historical and literary evidence to support the authenticity, and truth in the bible, than any other book ever written. We know that in order to grow in our faith and learn how to live successfully, we need to study the word daily and do what it says.
Jesus That Jesus is the Son of God, born of a virgin. We believe that He never sinned, but was punished for all sin for all time, so that whoever puts their trust in Him can be forgiven and live forever in heaven. He died on the cross (this was His punishment) but rose again and now lives.
The Holy Spirit That the Holy Spirit has been given as a personal counselor to each of us. We don’t see Him, but we can hear His voice. It convicts us when we sin and shows us how to make the best choices for our lives.
Humans and Eternal Life That each person has a soul, a part of them that will last forever, beyond death of the body. We teach that we are not able to get to heaven without Jesus. We can’t be good enough; one sin keeps us out of a perfect heaven. We can’t outweigh our good deeds with bad. We must be saved from the punishment we have earned through our wrong choices. That God’s standards are the Ten Commandments, written in our hearts. We know when we break God’s laws. No one except Jesus has ever lived without breaking these laws. Thankfully God has made a way for us to have eternal life in spite of our sins. This has been done for us on the cross; we have only to choose to live for Christ and no longer live for selfish desires.
Hope for Families That God is able and more than willing to restore our broken lives, families, and relationships as we follow his guidelines for life. We teach each woman that God has given her the power to choose blessing or cursing, life or death, for her family. The power to break any and all curses (cycles) of poverty, abuse, and broken relationships and give a mom and her family peace, love and joy in their home. We teach her to ask God for everything she needs and expect God to hear and bless her with all she needs and more.
